Obverse: Bust of Queen Victoria, crowned (small), veiled and laureate, left. Signed below the truncation: “F. BOWCHER. F”. On the left across: “TO / COMMEM / -ORATE / THE 60TH YEAR” and on the right: “OF HER / MAJESTY’S / REIGN”. Legend outside semicircular lines above: “VICTORIA” and below: “QUEEN.AND.EMPRESS”.

Reverse: Winged Peace, front, holding two wreaths inscribed within: "1837 (left) 1897 (right), standing on top of globe garlanded with rose, shamrock and thistle on each side. Legend: "..MAY THE BLESSINGS OF PEACE CONTINUE TO CROWN YOUR GLORIOUS REIGN." Signed: "SPINK LONDON" at the foot divided by the globe. Registration number: "RD. 285995" at rim on right.
