Sea Point and Green Point are two affluent suburbs a few kilometres to the west of Cape Town's central business district. During the Boer War a prisoner of war camp was established in Green Point common. The area was chosen as the site for the Cape Town Stadium to host the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
