Obverse: Conjoined busts of the King and Queen, right, he bareheaded in uniform, she diademed. Radiant crown above, laurel sprigs below. Legend: "EDWARD VII QUEEN ALEXANDRA".

Reverse: Coat of arms of Green Point and Sea Point with crown and ribbon above. Legend above between stops: “CORONATION 9TH. AUG. 1902”. Below: “FROM THE (across) / MUNICIPALITY OF (in an arc) / GREEN POINT AND SEA POINT (round the rim)”.

Notes: Sea Point and Green Point are two affluent suburbs a few kilometres to the west of Cape Town's central business district. During the Boer War a prisoner of war camp was established in Green Point common. The area was chosen as the site for the Cape Town Stadium to host the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
