Obverse: Within a toothed border round the rim, bare heads of the King and Queen, left. Crown above with sprig of oak (left) and laurel (right), small rose below. Legend: “KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY”.

Reverse: Toothed border round the rim. Within a garter: “HONI.SOIT.QVI MAL.Y.PENSE”, shields of England, Scotland and Ireland arranged in triangular form with thistle, rose and shamrock between and crown at top. In small letters at the bottom of the garter: “L. CHR. LAUER, NUERNBERG”. Legend outside: “GREAT BRITAIN.IRELAND.CANADA.AUSTRALIA.SOUTH AFRICA.INDIA”.
