Obverse: Within a beaded border round the rim, crowned bust of Queen Wilhelmina, front. Across on left: "WILHEL- / MINA / KONINGIN" and on right: DER NEDER- / LANDEN". Around below, a ribbon: "1880 JE MAINTIENDRAI 1898". In front and below Lion of Nassau on an inclined shield.

Reverse: Within a beaded border round the rim, a branch of orange(?) blossom, tied with a ribbon at the bottom, running diagonally from lower left to upper right. Above that, also diagonally, a ribbon: "6 SEPTEMBER / 1898". Across below branch: "TER / HERINNERING / AAN DE / KRONING / VAN H.M.KONINGIN / WILHELMINA". Ornamented line at foot. Signed round rim on left: SPINK & SON".

Notes: Queen Wilhelmina was crowned on 6 December 1898 six days after her 18th birthday.
