Notes: The new athletics and cycling stadium was built in 1923 by the Durban municipality in an area near to the historic Old Fort. The venue had previously been used for sporting events and was known as ‘Lords Ground’. It continued to be used by athletes and cyclists until the mid–1950s.

The grounds were the home of the Albion Harriers Athletics and Cycling Club. Fritz Zurcher, a renowned South African motor cyclist, was President of the Club.
