Comes in a green fitted oblong case, lined with white silk-like and blue velvet-like material. On the outside of the lid in gilt, coat of arms of Venda enclosed within an oval band: "VHUTAMBO HA VHUDILANGI HA VENDA".
The Republic of Venda was created under apartheid legislation as a homeland for Venda speaking people in northern South Africa bordering close to Zimbabwe. The territory became nominally independent on 13 September 1979 and its president was Patrick Mphephu. It was reincorporated into South Africa in 1994.
