Edge: Plain. Stamped: "SILVER" with the issue number on the edge. This medal: "300".

Obverse: Front view of the Bulawayo City hall. In outlined arcs above: "1894 (left) 1994 (right). Across on a ribbon below: "BULAWAYO".

Reverse: Coat of arms of Bulawayo with motto: ".SI.YE.PAMBILI."

Notes: The city was founded by Leander Starr Jameson of the British South Africa Company and opened for white settlement in 1894.

Comes inside a fitted square case covered on the outside with dark blue cloth. Lined on the inside with white and blue material. Also a descriptive pamphlet within which is a numbered (300) certificate stating a mintage a 500.
