Obverse: On Bronze back-plate, laurel wreath surrounding attached brass emblems. Lower emblem: Zulu shield and crossed spears. Upper emblem: First Natal Shilling postage stamp.

Reverse: Legend above: "DURSA" and below: "19.13 AUG 83". Centre blank for engraving. The medal not engraved.

Notes: DURSA '83 with the name given to the National Philatelic Exhibition held in Durban 9-13 August 1983. It was open by Mayor Sibyl Holtz and held of the the Pavilion Centre on Durban's Marine Parade.
