Edge: Plain

Obverse: Uniformed bust of Baden Powell with hat, front. Legend on raised band: “RUSHEN HONOURS HEROIC MAFEKING 1900” with stop at the foot.

Reverse: Veiled and diademed head of Queen Victoria, left. Signed: “A.W” (indistinct) on the truncation. Legend: “VICTORIA, QUEEN AND EMPRESS” with a garland of roses, thistles and shamrocks at the foot.

Notes: There is no town called Rushen in England. Possiblly the medal was intended for Rushden which is a town county of Northamptonshire.

The image of Baden-Powell is the same as Laidlaw 102a.
