Obverse: Within a circle of dots, bust of President Kruger, left, similar to the Z.A. Republic coinage. Maker's name: “CARTAUX PARIS” below the truncation. Legend within a toothed rim: “KRÜGER PRESIDENT DU TRANSVAAL 1900” with a small ornament at the foot.

Reverse: Across within a toothed rim: "AUX BOERS (in an arc) / AUX HÉROIQUES / DÉFENSEURS / DE LA / LIBERTÉ / AU TRANSVAAL / 1900 (in an arc)”.

Notes: These, and other similar medals by Cartaux, were on sale in Paris during the visit of President Kruger to that city in November 1900.
