Edge: Plain

Obverse: Bareheaded bust of Lord Roberts in uniform, showing his medals including the Victoria Cross, facing front. To the left, a half laurel wreath. To the right across, between ornamental lines: “F.M. / LORD / ROBERTS / V.C.”

Reverse: Flag pole with a laurel wreath at the top flying the Union flag waving to the right. Below, in large letters: “PRETORIA / 1900”. At the foot, a half wreath of the national flowers of Great Britain: roses, thistles and shamrocks.

Notes: British troops under Lord Roberts entered Pretoria on the 5th of June 1900.
