Obverse: A war veteran, standing looking left, in the uniform of a Chelsea Pensioner, cap in right hand. Reclining lion on ground in front. Laurel branches to the left and right. In arcs around on the left, top and right: “GRATITUDE / NOT / CHARITY”. Below, across: “THE FETE OF / THE VETERANS / 1908”.

Reverse: Blank.

Notes: The fete and bazaar in aid of war veterans was opened by the Duke of Connaught at the Chelsea Hospital on 7 July 1908.
