Edge: Plain. Silver medal stamped with the German crescent moon and crown silver mark and: "0.990".

Obverse: Bareheaded bust of Kruger, left (similar to Z.A.R. coinage). Signed: "LAUER" on the truncation. On the right, across: “PRÆS. / S.J.P. / KRÜGER”

Reverse: Within a beaded border, the coat of arms of the Z.A. Republic with motto: “EENDRAGT MAAKT MAGT”. Below in an arc: “1899 – 1900”. Legend outside: “ZUR ERINNERG. AN DIE SIEGR: SCHLACHTEN DER BUREN GEGEN DIE ENGLÄNDER (in commemoration of the victorious battles of the Boers against the English)”. Small ornament at the foot.
