Edge: Plain

Obverse: Beneath a grape vine, a woman and dog rush to welcome a uniformed Canadian soldier shouldering a rifle. Written vertically on the slats of a fence behind is “PW ELLIS & Co / TORONTO”

Reverse: Eight coats of arms encircling the text: “CANADA / CONGRATULATES / HER / QUEEN”. The Royal arms at the top. The other arms those of Canadian provinces: British Columbia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Prince Edward Island.

Notes: This is a mule with the obverse taken from the Toronto Tribute medal and the reverse taken from the Canadian medal commemorating Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee.
