Edge: Plain.

Obverse: Two full-length female figures in classical gowns, as angles, hover above the earth. The one of the left holds a garland from which she is scattering flowers. The one on the right holds a cornucopia from which she is scattering fruit.

Reverse: At the top. dove in flight, right, with an olive branch in its beak. Below, across: “STRUCK IN / COMMEMORATION / OF THE / DECLARATION / OF PEACE / AT THE CONCLUSION / OF THE / S. AFRICAN / WAR / 1899 – 1900 (in an arc)”. Divided by the dates in small letters: “SALE. BIRM.”

Notes: This may be a trial strike for a medal which never went into production.

The dove is the emblem of the London Missionary Society.
