Obverse: Conjugate crowned busts of the King and Queen, right, he robed. Signed: "E. FUCHS / 1901" on a diagonal above the Kings shoulder on the left. Signed: "ELKINGTON" on the truncation. Legend: "KING EDWARD VII QUEEN ALEXANDRA".

Reverse: Coat of arms of Cape Town with ribbon behind curling on either side: "SPIES (left) BONA (right)". In an arc above around: "TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION" then across: "OF / HIS MAJESTY / KING EDWARD VII" and below the arms in arcs: "26TH. JUNE 1902 / CAPE TOWN".
