Edge: Upright reeded.

Obverse: Within a toothed border round the rim, conjoined heads of the King and Queen, right, he bareheaded, she diademed, sprig of laurel and ribbon below. Legend: "KING EDWARD VII (cross) QUEEN ALEXANDRA".

Reverse: Within a beaded circle, ornaments above and below, across: "MALMESBURY". Within a toother border round the rim, legend above: "TO COMMEMORATE THEIR MAJESTIES CORONATION" and below between ornamental stops: "JUNE 26TH. 1902".

Notes: The town of Malmesbury is in the Western Cape about 65 km north of Cape Town. Malmesbury was so named in 1829 after the British diplomat, the Earl of Malmesbury, who had died in 1820.
