Obverse: Head of Queen Victoria, left, crowned and veiled. Signed: “J. MOORE” on the truncation. Legend above: “IN COMMEMORATION OF THE JUBILEE REIGN OF H.G.M. QUEEN VICTORIA” and below between stops: “1837 – 1887”.

Reverse: Within a wreath of various national flowers (roses, thistles, shamrocks, maple, oak and others) across: “VICTORIA.E.I. / BORN MAY 24.1819 / ASCENDED JUNE 20.37 / CROWNED JUNE 28.38 / MARRIED FEB.10.40 / JUBILEE 1887 (in an arc)”. At the bottom of the wreath the crowned coat of arms of Great Britain. On a ribbon winding round the wreath, the names Great Britain and colonies, from the top clockwise: "INDIA", "CAPE", "CANADA", "GREAT BRITAIN", "N.ZEALAND" and "AUSTRALIA".
