Obverse: Conjoined crowned and robed busts of the King and Queen. left. Legend on a raised band around, above: “KRONING (florette stop) CORONATION” and below between florette stops: “12.5.1937”.

Reverse: Coat of arms of the Cape Divisional Council, Table Mountain crest. Legend on a raised garter: “THE DIVISIONAL COUNCIL OF THE CAPE . DIE AFDELINGSRAND VAN DIE KAP”. Ornate end of the garter hanging down at the foot.
