Edge: Plain

Obverse: Coat of arms with motto: "DEO FAVENTE".

Reverse: Across, within an ornate oval: "100". Legend: "EEUFEES STANDERTON CENTENARY". On a ribbon at the bottom: "1978" and below that stamped: "SILVER".

Notes: The medal is not well made. It comes inside a black plastic case.

Standerton is a large commercial and agricultural town lying on the banks of the Vaal River in Mpumalanga. The town was proclaimed on 14 December 1878 and named after Boer leader Commandant A. H. Stander.
