Obverse: Coat of arms of the South African College, downwards on left: "1903", upwards on right: "1953". legend above: "S.A.C. JUNIOR SCHOOL JUBILEE" and below between sprigs of laurel: "50".

Reverse: Laurel wreath tied at the foot enclosing blank space.

Notes: The South African College High School is the oldest high school in South Africa, founded in September 1829. It is located in Newlands, Cape Town, at the foot of Table Mountain and Devils Peak.

Between 1880 and 1900 the school expanded into university education and in 1903 a junior school was established. In 1919 the university component was separated and became the University of Cape Town.
