Reverse: Minerva, left, with lion behind shaking hands with Wilhelmina, right, in long dress, mantle and crown. In the exergue: "INGEHULDIDG den 6.SEPTEMBER / 1898". Signed: "BEGEER" lower left rim.

Notes: Bart van Hove (1850-1914) was a Dutch sculptor who work for most of his career with the firm Begeer in the Hague.

Queen Wilhelmina was crowned on 6 December 1898 six days after her 18th birthday.

High ranking delegates and guests attending the inauguration were presented with this medal in either gold (25 medals), silver (482 medals) or bronze (1,130 medals).
