Edge: Plain. Stamped: "SILVER".

Obverse: Conjoined crowned and robed busts of the King and Queen, left. Signed: "F.BOWCHER.F / 1911" across on right. Legend: "GEORGE.V MARY."

Reverse: King (left) and Queen (right) enthroned, he front, she looking towards him, Westminster Abbey behind. Britannia as Empire standing left holding laurel sprig above King, lion resting below. At the bottom, a plaque: "HOMAGE OF THE / BRITISH - EMPIRE / 1911" supported by cherubs with garlands. Maker's name: "SPINK / LOND." on right. Signed (faintly) at the foot: "F. BOWCHER".

Notes: Silver medal comes in a square maroon case. Bronze medal comes in a blue circular cardboard box white on the inside printed with Spink's mark.
