Reverse: Within a beaded border round the rim, across: “IN / COMMEMORATION / OF THE UNION OF / SOUTH AFRICA / AND / THE OPENING OF ITS / FIRST PARLIAMENT”. Legend above: “WILLIAM ROGERSON” and below between floral ornaments: “DURBAN AND MARITZBURG”.
