The silver medal comes inside a fitted oblong purple presentation case lined with white silk and purple velvet.
The visit to South Africa was part of a world tour of British Colonies to show Royal appreciation for their support during the Boer War.
The Duke and Duchess were to become King George V and Queen Mary in 1911.
