Edge: Plain.

Obverse: Bust of Paul Kruger, left (similar to ZAR coinage). Legend above: “STEPHANUS JOHANNES PAULUS KRUGER” and below between dash-dot-dash: “1825 – 1904”. All the letters “N” have been inverted.

Reverse: Across: “. 100STE . / VERJAARSDAG / VAN DIE GROTE / . AFRIKANER . / PAUL KRUGER / (dash-dot-dash)”. Legend above: “AANDENKEN” and below between stops: “1825 . 10 . OKTOBER . 1925”. The letters “N” are correct.

Notes: The origin of this medal is unknown, but it was probably made in South Africa. The die used for the obverse is the same as Laidlaw 0182a. The reverse die has been reworked and the quality is better. The inverted “N” has been corrected and: “100DE” changed to: “100STE”.

It has been suggested that the decoration dash-dot-dash, which is the letter “K” in Morse code, was used to signify Kruger.
