Conjoined crowned busts of King Edward and Queen Alexandra, left. Legend on a raised band: “KING • EDWARD • VII QUEEN • ALEXANDRA”. On the White metal medal the stops in the legend are not present Only on the bronze medal: in an arc behind the King: “JUNE 26” and in front of the Queen: “1902”. The maker’s name: “SALE” is below the truncation of the King’s bust.

The bronze medal comes inside a black presentation case lined with velvet and silk. Also a printed note with the arms of Woodstock: “With the Town Clerk’s Compliments”.
The municipality of Woodstock has now been incorporated into the city of Cape Town, and is a suburb about 8 miles from the city centre..
