Obverse: Within a laurel wreath tied at the bottom, bareheaded bust of Roberts in uniform, front. Legend: “FIELD-MARSHAL LORD ROBERTS V.C.”

Reverse: A flower-like design with 12 petals extending to the rim. In the centre, a circle with: “SOUTH AFRICA 1900” around a small rose. In the top three petals, the Raadsaal (parliament) in Pretoria with: “GOVT. / BUILDINGS (left) PRETORIA (right)” obliquely above.
