Notes: Paardekraal Monument is located near in Krugersdorp. The monument was constructed during 1890 and unveiled by President Paul Kruger on 16 December 1891. It is constructed over a cairn that was assembled on 13 December 1880 at the instigation of Kruger at at gathering of about 6,000 citizens who vowed to fight against the British annexation of the Transvaal Republic. The first Anglo-Boer followed, after which partial independence was restored.

The medal, issued by the Federasie van Afrikaanse Kultuurvereniginge, commemorates the centenary of this protest rally.
