Each medal issued inside a red leather case lined with white silk and red velvet with the name of the general in gilt on the outside of the lid and" "TMS" on the inside.

Alternatively all 20 medals (Boer and British) issued inside a large red leather case lined with white silk and red velvet with: "Generals Generaals / Anglo-Boer War Anglo-Boere Oorlog / 1899-1902" in gilt on the outside of the lid and" "TMS" on the inside.
