The medal exists in a variety of metals and finishes. All were made with an attached loop but this often breaks off.
President Kruger visited Amsterdam on 19th December 1900. It is probable that this medal was made by Mayer & Wilhelm of Stuttgart and sold to the people Amsterdam as a commemoration of his visit.
