Obverse: Conjoined busts of the King and Queen, right, he bareheaded, she diademed. Radiant crown above, laurel sprigs below. Legend on a band: "T.I.M. EDWARD VII (left) QUEEN ALEXANDRA (right)".

Reverse: Britannia standing looking right, trident in her left hand and supporting British Union shield in her right. British lion standing behind and above four shields, two on each side, representing Scotland, Ireland, England and Cape Colony(?). In the background, lighthouse on a cliff (left) and ship at sea (right). On a ribbon round the top: "CORONATION 1902". On a scroll to the left: "PRESENTED BY / THE MAYOR", to the right: "& TOWN / COUNCIL" and below round the bottom: "OF / BULAWAYO".
