Obverse: Conjoined crowned busts of the King and Queen, left, he robed. Legend on a raised band: "KING.GEORGE.VI & QUEEN.ELIZABETH."

Reverse: Britannia, standing facing in a open portico, crown raised in her right hand and supporting a standard bearing the British flag in her left. River behind with ship (left) and bridge in front of St. Paul's Cathedral (right). Signed: "BRITISH" bottom right. Legend: "CROWNED (4 stops arranged in a square) (left) (4 stops arranged in a square) A.D. 1937. (right)".

Notes: The reverse of this medal is that sames as the reverse of Laidlaw 0455 commemorating the coronation (that never took place) of his elder brother King Edward VIII
