Messrs. Irwin & Co., Tea Merchant and Grocer was a Cape Town company. They also issued medals for the golden (Laidlaw 0276a) and diamond (Laidlaw 0276b) jubilees of Queen Victoria. The company issued halfpenny tokens dated 1879 under the name J.W. Irwin.
