Reverse: Within an closed laurel wreath tied at the bottom, across: “DIE FEEST COMMISSIE, (in an arc) / 31.AUG.1898, / KAAPSTAD (in an arc)”.

Notes: Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was born on 31 August 31 1880. She was the daughter of King William III and his second wife, Princess Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont. On 23 November 1890, William died, and Wilhelmina succeeded to the throne at the age of 10. Her mother, Princess Emma was appointed regent in her name until 31 August 1898 when Wilhelmina had her 18th birthday. Wilhelmina was crowned Queen a week later on 6 September 1898.
