Edge: Plain.

Obverse: On a folded ribbon across: "THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1919". Palm frond on right. Registration number: RD. 666,600" lower left. Legend on a raised pebbled band: "+VICTORY+JUSTICE+PEACE+". Signed: T.F. B." at the foot.

Reverse: In the centre, the Royal coat of arms with motto: "HONI.SOIT.QUI.MAL.Y.PENSE" on a garter around with knight's helmet, crown and lion crest with plumes left and right. Surrounding this, coats of arms of colonies named below: "AUSTRALIA (top right) NEW ZEALAND (bottom right) INDIA (bottom) S.AFRICA (bottom left) CANADA (top left)". Oak springs round the arms of India. Laurel branch round left rim, palm frond round right rim. Signed: "T.F. B." and: "REG. APPLD FOR" at the top.
