Obverse: Within a beaded border round the rim, conjoined heads of four generations of the Royal family, all left. In order from right to left: Queen Victoria (veiled & diademed); Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VII); George, Duke of York (later George V) and Prince Edward (later Edward VIII). “COPYRIGHT” under Victoria’s bust. Radiant crown above; palm fond and laurel branch tied with a bow below. Legend above: “FOUR GENERATIONS OF THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY” and at the foot: “1897”. Signed round the rim at the foot: "10.SEP. 95. H. GRUEBER 37 SNOWHILL, LONDON E.C."

Reverse: Within a circle, three shields, from left to right: Irish harp (inclined right), English lions (center upright), Scottish lion (inclined left). Radiant Queen's crown above. Garland of rose, shamrock and thistle tied with a bow at the bottom. In an arc above: "THE DIAMOND JUBILEE". Within a beaded border round the rim, legend above: "TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH. YEAR OF HER MAJESTY's REIGN" and below between stops: "1837-1897".
