Notes: Roberts Heights is a military base founded in about 1905 by the British Army. The oldest building in the complex is the South African Garrison Institute, now known as the Army College. Lord Kitchener laid the cornerstone on 12 June 1902. The name of base was changed to Voortrekkerhoogte in 1939 and again to Thaba Tshwane in 1998.

The medal was probably given troops stationed there during WW1 for Christmas 1917.
